Free and United approaches Scripture with reverence while recognizing that sincere Christians interpret difficult passages in different ways. The reflections here are an initial, non-denominational Christian perspective—not a substitute for a local church, pastor, or sustained study of the text.
For the resurrection, this site emphasizes the continuing life and presence of Christ in the Spirit and in the lives of those who follow his way. That is our interpretive emphasis, and it differs from traditional Baptist confessions that affirm a bodily resurrection.

Christ is understood here as a living way of alignment with God—not merely a label, but a pattern of truth, love, and faithful action.

Jesus prays for a unity that is deeper than uniformity: a shared life of love that can become a witness to the world.
